I don´t know my hat size.
How should I measure my head?

The best way to get the right size for your MALEZA hat is to measure your head as follows:

  1. Find a measuring tape and a mirror (it is even better if a friend can measure your head). If you do not have a measuring tape at hand you can also use a cord or a string and place it next to a ruler after measuring.

  2. Decide how you would like your hat to sit on your head: resting on your forehead (classic style) or tilted upwards (halo style). Start by putting the measuring tape on your forehead and then circle the tape around your head. Most people prefer to wear their hat two fingers width above the eyebrows and one finger width above the ears. Have the tape around your head exactly as how you would like your hat to sit: not too tight, not too loose.

  3. Make the measurements in cm including a decimal point (for example 59,6). Measure multiple times to make sure you get your size right. When you are in doubt, in between sizes or you like a more relaxed fit we recommend sizing up. We will include some cork straps that you can easily put underneath the sweatband of the hat in order to give you the perfect fit.

  4.  Hats from other brands are not always a good reference, so please make sure you do your homework and send us the right size for your MALEZA hat. If you need some more help in order to get your right hat size, please do not hesitate to contact us.

HOW DO I TAKE CARE OF MY HAT?

If you want your hat to outlive you, you better take good care of it.

DO´S

  • Handle your hat by the crown with care or by the brim as close to the crown as possible.

  • When you want to give your hat some rest, put it in a hatbox, hang it on a hook from the back side of the hat or lay it on a flat surface upside down, resting on the crown.

  • When your hat gets wet leave it to dry at room temperature.

  • Brush your hat now and then with a bristle hat brush by using short strokes and following the natural direction of the fiber (clockwise is most common).

DON’TS

  • Do not grab your hat in the front pinching the dents, or by the edge of the brim.

  • Never leave your car in the hat or your hat in the car in the heat.

  • Try to avoid wearing your hat in intense heat or wet weather.

  • When your hat gets wet do not put it close to a heater, and don't you dare to use a hair dryer: your impatience will distort the form of your hat.
